Carrots are rich in vitamin A and potato has protein and it is a best weight gaining food for babies.
Carrot gives natural sweetness and colour and potato gives a fine creamy texture to the puree.
This puree can be given for breakfast so that you can start the day with nutritious food for the baby.
Ingredients:
- Half a carrot,chopped
- Half a potato,chopped
- Water to immerse the veggies
- A pinch of cumin powder
- A pinch of salt
Method:
1.Wash the veggies completely without any mud,peel the skin and chop them into cubes.
2.In a pressure cooker,add the cubed veggies along with water,salt and a pinch of cumin powder for easy digestion.
3.Cook them for 5-6 whistles or until tender soft.
4.Mash them once cooled using food masher or blender.
5.Feed it little warm.
Notes
- It is good to prepare this puree fresh,since it gets spoiled very soon because of potato.
- You can store it for 3 days maximum,if you can't prepare daily.
