This is a simple recipe but tastes very yummy.I am sharing the basic method of roast.
Many people doesn't like yam,because of its itchyness in tongue.But if it is cooked properly,it will vanish.

Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg Yam/elephant foot/karuna kizhangu,cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup water to cook yam
- 1/2 spoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 spoon coriander powder
- 1 spoon chilli powder
- 3 tablespoon oil for frying
- salt to taste
- 5-6 drops of Lemon
- 2 spoons of tamarind pulp
Method:
In a pressure cooker,add the cubed yam with water,turmeric,tamarind pulp with required salt and cook for 1 whistle.
Once pressure released,add chilli powder,coriander powder,lemon and mix with cooked yam.
In a frying pan/kadai,add oil,once oil is hot,add yam and fry for 5-7 mins in low flame without flip over.Later flip over yam,and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
And its done π
It goes well with sambar rice,rasam and even curd rice π
