Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of sweet orange pumpkin,chopped
- 1 teaspoon of rice
- 3/4 cup of water
- Ghee(optional)
- Salt to taste
Method:
- Wash the rice and soak in water for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile peel the skin of pumpkin,remove the seeds and chop into medium size cubes.
- In a pressure cooker,add rice along with cubed pumpkin and water with salt and cook it for 5 whistles.
- Once cooled,you can either mash it or blend it in a blender according to your feeding method.
- Finally add drops of ghee and serve the baby for lunch.
Notes
- Select pumpkin that is deep orange in colour,
- Pumpkin should not be too ripe.
