Spicy fish fry recipe

Fish fry can be done by various methods,I have shared my mom's method with some tricks and tips to get a yummy and tasty fish fry.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 kg fish( I used vela meen)
  • 3-4 tablespoon Oil

For marination,
  • one and half spoon chilli powder
  • 1 spoon coriander powder
  • 1 spoon turmeric powder
  • Salt required
  • 1/2 lemon,squeezed

Method:

  1. Wash the fish very well with rock salt and turmeric to get rid of the smell.
  2. Give  a slight slit in the middle of fish pices,so the masala can get well into it.
  3. Add all the ingredients listed under marination,and marinate for 30 mins in refrigerator.
  4. In a frying pan,add oil,once the oil is well heated,add the fish pieces and keep the flame in full low and cook for 7 mins.Then flip over the fish and again keep for 7 mins.

Note


  • It is very important to fry the fish in low flame to get it well cooked with masala.
  • Don't flip over the fish in between frying,or it may get broken.
  • By keeping in the refrigerator,the masala gets into fish intact.
