Tasty and easy onion fried rice(Easy version)-Lunch box recipe

This  is a easy and simple recipe which can be done within 15 minutes for lunch box.This is my mom's creative dish.It came out very well for me.So I would like to share the recipe with you all.
I usually make this on a lazy morning days,when I am in short of time to cook for my hubby.
I am sharing this recipe of ingredients for single person.You can increase the ingredients according to the number of members.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium size onion,cut lengthwise
  • 1 clove,1 cinnamon,1  cardamom,star anise,1 bay leaf(All the briyani spices in short)
  • Small piece of ginger,2-3 cloves of garlic (crushed roughly in pestle)
  • 1 cup of rice
  • 2 tablespoon of oil
  • Half spoon of turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash the rice and cook separately.
  2. In a pan,heat oil and add all the spices one by one.
  3. Once they are fried well,add the onions and saute until golden brown and crisp.
  4. Now add the turmeric powder,saute for few seconds and turn off.
  5. Add salt according to your taste.
  6. Mix this to cooked rice.And it's done.๐Ÿ˜‰

                                             
 

Note

  • You can also try this recipe in basmati rice.I prepared in ordinary rice.
  • You can add green chillies,if you prefer spicy.
  • Crushing ginger and garlic in pestle,gives good aroma and flavor to the dish.
