Tasty and Healthy Carrot puree for 6+ months babies

Carrots are rich in vitamin A,gives natural sweetness and colour.
This puree can be given for breakfast so that you can start the day with nutritious food for the baby.
Carrots are best first veggie that can be given to babies and babies love it since it is sweet in taste.


                                                         

Ingredients:


  • Half a piece of carrot,chopped roughly
  • Water to cook the carrots

Method 1:

1.Take a fresh carrot.Wash it thoroughly.Peel the skin.

2.Chop the carrot into small cubes.

3.Now steam it in an idly cooker by keeping the carrot cubes on the cooker plates.Steam it for 10- 15 minutes.

4.Once cooled,grind it in a mixer jar along with water to a smooth puree.

5. You can either feed it as it is or you can add it in sipper bottle and feed as easy as that.


Method  2:

1.Take a small pan filled with water that is needed to immerse the carrot.

2.Gently cook the carrot in the pan for around 15 minutes.

3.Once cooled,grind it in a mixer jar along with water  that is used to cook carrot into a smooth puree.

4. Don't waste the water that was used to cook carrot.You can offer to drink it as a juice to your baby.

5.Feed the baby as either puree or you can feed in the bottle as juice.



Notes


  • It's always good to steam the carrots,as it retains all vitamins instead of boiling in water.
  • Always peel the outer skin of the carrot as it may have pesticides.
