Healthy Nutritious Green Gram puree for 7+ months babies

Green gram is rich in protein and it helps in healthy weight gain in babies.
If you are looking for recipe other than usual fruits and veggies for your babies,green gram is a good option and it is  also very healthy.
Green Gram doesn't cause constipation in babies.
You can feed this twice or thrice a week for your baby.


                                                 


Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoon of Green gram
  • 1 large garlic clove
  • Few cumin seeds
  • 1 cup of water

Method:

  1. Wash the green gram well and add it in a pressure cooker along with garlic,cumin and water.
  2. Cook it for 5 whistles in medium flame and keep in simmer for 5 more minutes.
  3. Once it is cooled,mash it with masher or blend it in a blender into complete puree.
  4. You can add either salt or panangarkandu as per your wish.

Notes

  • Green gram cooks quick if it is soaked overnight.
  • Garlic helps for immunity and also for digestion and enhance flavour.
